A watchlist is a shortlist of properties you're seriously considering. Every property on it gets a workspace for your notes, photos, visits and scores, and every property is scored the same way so they're easy to compare. Many people keep one watchlist; others keep one per area, or one for "definitely" and one for "maybe".

The My Watchlists page

Watchlists you own shows a card for each of your watchlists, with its banner, description and how many properties are on it. Underneath, Watchlists shared with me lists ones other people have invited you to (see Shared with me).

Creating a watchlist

Choose New Watchlist in the sidebar or on the My Watchlists page.

Name and description
Call it something you'll recognise, like First-home shortlist or School-zone priority. The description is optional. It's shown to anyone you share the watchlist with, so it's a good place to note your must-haves.
Sections (optional)
Choose what each property page on the watchlist shows, such as offers, school zones, winter sun or the mortgage calculator. They're grouped as on the page. Everything starts switched on except the Buying group (offers, due diligence and settlement), which you can tick once you're ready to buy. Untick any you don't need, or use All and None for a whole group. Premium sections are marked. You can change this later from Edit on the watchlist, or with Layout on any of the watchlist's properties.
Base blocks (optional)
Blocks are the things you'll score every property on. A rating, a yes/no question, a number, or a choice from your own options. Pick any you want to start with, then rename them and adjust their settings. You can add more later. See Watchlist Blocks.

Press Create Watchlist. If you started from somewhere else (such as Add Property), you're taken straight back there with the new watchlist already picked.

Inside a watchlist

The watchlist page has these parts.

The name, description, and banner. Edit lets you rename the watchlist, change its description, and pick a banner. One of the built-in photos, a photo you upload (up to 5 MB), or none. The watchlist's owner also sees Sections there, to choose what each property page shows; sections keep their order. Delete removes the watchlist with everything on it. Items, scores, photos and shares. After you confirm. It can't be undone.

The property table

Every property on the watchlist, with its photo, address, asking price, bedrooms, bathrooms, floor and land area, and a column for each of your blocks. Click a column heading to sort by it. Click a property to open its workspace.

Search and filters

Use the search box to find a property by address, tag or any value you've saved. Filters opens:

  • Property details: minimum and maximum for the fields that matter to you.
  • Tags: several tags in one group widen the results; tags in different groups narrow them.
  • Watchlist blocks: filter by your own scores, such as only properties you rated 7 or more.

Evaluation blocks

The blocks on this watchlist, up to 8. Choose + Add block to add one, or use the edit and delete buttons on each block. Deleting a block removes its values from every property on the watchlist. See Watchlist Blocks for how each type works.

Commute addresses

Add the places you travel to often. Work, school, family. And every property on the watchlist shows travel times and driving distance to each one. The Commute addresses panel starts closed, showing the addresses you have; choose Add (or Manage) to open it. Give the address a label, pick it from the NZ address suggestions, and press Add address.

The Free plan allows 2 commute addresses per watchlist and Premium allows 8 (the owner's plan decides). The owner and anyone with edit access can change them.

Share

Invite someone to work on the watchlist with you. See Shared with me.

Activity

Everything that has happened on the watchlist, newest first: what it was, who did it, and when. It shows 10 at a time; use the page links under the list to go further back.
