Buying a home is rarely a one-person decision. Share a watchlist with your partner, family or a friend whose opinion you trust, and you'll all see the same properties, notes, photos and scores.
Inviting someone
- Open the watchlist and choose Share.
- Enter their email address. They don't need an OurHouse account. If they don't have one, the invite includes a link to sign up.
- Tick Allow edits if they should be able to add properties, notes and ratings. Leave it unticked for read-only access.
- Press Send invite.
The Shared with list shows everyone you've invited and whether they've accepted. You're notified when someone accepts.
On the Free plan you can share each watchlist with 1 person. Premium has no limit.
Accepting an invite
Open the link in the invite email and log in (or sign up). The watchlist then appears in Shared with me in the sidebar, which takes you to the Watchlists shared with me list on the My Watchlists page.
Working on a shared watchlist
A shared watchlist shows Shared with you by the person who invited you, and whether your access is Editable or Read-only.
| Read-only | Editable | |
|---|---|---|
| See properties, notes, photos and scores | Yes | Yes |
| Comment on a property | Yes | Yes |
| Add properties, notes, ratings and block values | No | Yes |
| Change commute addresses, blocks, name and description | No | Yes |
| Change the page layout, delete the watchlist | No | No. Owner only |
Comments
Each property on a watchlist has a Comments section. Everyone on the watchlist sees what's written there, and gets a notification when someone comments, so it's a good place to talk a property through. You can delete your own comments, and the watchlist's owner can delete any.
Sharing one property by link
To show one property to someone without inviting them to the whole watchlist, use the share link on that property's page in your watchlist. They see your visit photos, what you liked and what concerned you, and your visits. Without needing an account. See A property on your watchlist.
