Agency accounts are checked before they're opened, so buyers can trust that the agencies on OurHouse are real. There are two steps: request the account, then claim it once it's approved.

1. Request an agency account

Go to the agency request form. It's linked from the Agencies directory (Run an agency? Request an agency account) and from the account menu (Agency account) if you already use OurHouse. You don't need to be logged in.

Your agency
Legal name (as on the Companies Office register), trading name, NZBN, REA licence number, website, main office address, business email and phone, and how many branches and agents you have. Some of these are optional. The form marks which.
Who we should talk to
Your name, email, role at the agency and phone. If you're logged in, the request is sent as you.
Plan
The plan you'd like to start on. We confirm it when we approve the request, and you can change it later.
Anything we should know?
An optional message to the OurHouse team.

Press Send request. We email you a copy.

2. While it's reviewed

We check every request against the NZBN and REA registers, usually within two working days. If you're logged in, Account menu → Agency account shows where it's up to: sent, under review, approved, or declined with a note from the team. You can cancel a request that hasn't been decided.

3. Claim the account

Once approved, we email a claim link to the agency email address shown on your website. This proves the account is going to someone at the agency. That's often a shared office inbox rather than the person who asked, so the email says who asked (name, role, email and phone) and repeats the agency details they sent, for passing on.

  1. Open the link. If you already have an OurHouse login you keep it; otherwise you set a password.
  2. You become the agency's owner and land on the Set up your agency page.
  3. Choose a plan to start.
  4. If someone else asked for the account, add them as an admin under Team so they can help run it with their own login.

Agents don't request accounts themselves. Once the agency is set up, an owner or admin invites each agent, and the agent gets an email to set up their login.
