How the answer is worked out
The quiz uses simple rules rather than a market model. A commute by transport, or a priority on location, points to apartments and townhouses near transport. Large outdoor space points to a standalone house. A low budget or a wish for low maintenance points to a townhouse or unit. Each answer adds a note to the result so you can see why it was chosen.
The result doesn't tell you what a home costs in a particular suburb. Use the mortgage repayment calculator to check what your budget would mean each week, and look at recent sales in the suburbs you like.
